会议简介
中国-加拿大结构与地震工程论坛（CCSSEE）是一个为结构与地震工程学者和技术人员举办的国际会议，旨在就结构与地震工程领域的最新思想、研究成果、和解决方案进行交流和合作。第一届CCSSEE已于2017年8月20日至24日在加拿大温哥华不列颠哥伦比亚大学（UBC）温哥华校区举行，来自中国和加拿大26所大学的200多名学者、技术人员和学生参加了第一届CCSSEE。今年，来自中国、加拿大、美国和新西兰的研究人员和工程师将参加本次盛会。
我们谨代表本次论坛的学术委员会，诚挚邀请您到中国广州参加将于2019年12月10日至12日举行的第二届CCSSEE论坛！
第二届CCSSEE的主题是“下一代新型防震结构和地震保护技术”，随着世界范围内地震的发展，发展高性能结构体系和地震防护技术已成为国际趋势。本次论坛的目标是促进中国和加拿大（以及其他国家）的研究人员和工程师进行先进结构体系和结构地震保护技术的合作开发和合作实施，展示相关先进技术的最新发展和实施情况，面向未来地震作用下更加具备抗震韧性的结构体系和技术。论坛的议程将注重对新的结构系统和保护技术的讨论，涉及隔震、消能、新的结构系统和振动控制等领域。本论坛将举办学术讲座、学生汇报、讨论、交流和工程技术参观等环节。本论坛将为所有参与者将建立一个国际交流平台，是一个针对地震工程新技术新成果进行分享、学习和合作交流的盛会。

Welcome Announcement of the 2nd China-Canada Symposium on Structural and Earthquake Engineering
China-Canada Symposium on Structural and Earthquake Engineering (CCSSEE) is an international conference dedicated for structural and earthquake engineering researchers and engineers to get together to exchange and develop robust and advanced ideas, research findings and solutions in the field of structural and earthquake engineering. The 1st CCSSEE was held from August 20th to 24th 2017 at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Vancouver campus in Vancouver, Canada. Over 200 scholars, engineers and students from 26 universities in China and Canada attended. This year, researchers and engineers from China, Canada, the United States and New Zealand will participate in this event.
On behalf of the academic committee of this forum, we sincerely invite you to attend the 2nd CCSSEE to be held in Guangzhou, China, from December 10-12, 2019.
The theme of the 2nd CCSSEE is “The Next-Generation New Seismic Resistant Structures and Seismic Protective Technologies”. With recent earthquakes worldwide, the development of high-performance structural systems and seismic protective technologies has become an international trend. The objective of this forum is to promote the cooperative development and implementation of advanced structural systems and protective technologies for researchers and engineers from China and Canada (as well as other countries), to showcase the latest developments and implementation of related advanced technologies, and to develop resilient structural systems and technologies to resist future earthquakes. The agenda of the forum will focus on the discussion of new structural systems and protective technologies, covering areas of seismic isolation, seismic energy dissipation, new structural systems and vibration control, etc. The forum will include plenary lectures, student thesis reports, discussions, social networking and technical tour for the international structural and earthquake engineering communities. This forum will be a unique opportunity for all participants to establish international network and will be an event for sharing, learning and fostering novel technologies in earthquake engineering.
